I recently took my wedding gown to Gormans Cleaners to get cleaned and preserved. Prior to doing so, I met with Maurice to inspect my gown before leaving it with them to clean. In addition, I received a quote that was $100 less than what it was when I dropped the dress off. Maurice reassured me that the stain would come out and to give him a while to clean it. No one notified me when my dress was ready, I had to contact them and when I did they had it preserved in a heirloom so that I couldn't inspect my dress. I requested for Gorman's to take the dress out for me to view before taking the dress home. When I did there were still stains on my dress! I then asked to speak with Maurice and he told me that they should have contacted me to view before they placed the dress in a heirloom and that he would need a few weeks to try to get the stains out again. Still no call when the dress was ready... I contacted them a month later and Maurice said the dress was ready, and I asked if the stains have been taken out and he said that there were a little bit of stains. I then asked if I would be required to pay the full amount since all of the stains did not come out and when I came in the first time. He said no and that I would still have to pay the full amount. I then spoke with Rosa, the General Manager and I told her about my incident and she said that she can not give me half off, but will take the dress out of the heirloom for me to come and view. She also stated that Gormans Cleaners always tells their customers that the stains are not guaranteed to come out. No one at Gorman's Cleaners never told me this information nor provided me with written documentation.
