I love Gordy's Pizza. Why? The crust is always crispy/crunchy yet thick enough to stand up to a nice helping of sauce and a load of delectable toppings. In a word... toothsome. There is enough zesty sauce to compliment the toppings, but not so much that it floods out at the first bite or so the toppings slide off the slice. There is enough cheese so it is rich and stringy each and every bite, but not so much that you cannot taste any other topping. The sausage is spicy and delicious and does not in the least resemble prefab. pellets (as other pizza houses offer). Toppings are chunky and fresh. I think it stands up to any big city pizza rave except maybe Chicago. But what pizza can compare to a Chicago deep dish?
I would not go anywhere else for pizza in PA besides Gordy's.
