I called Goodman's Appliance Service when my refrigerator was not dispensing ice. When the service technician arrived, he explained that the only problem that I had was that my ice dispenser was frozen. He informed me that this is a normal problem with a Whirlpool refrigerator and that the repair wouldn't require any replacement parts. The ice was melted and the dispenser is working great! He also showed me how to take care of this problem in the future by myself. As a single mom, I appreciated his honesty and quick service and I would recommend Goodman's Appliance Service to anyone in need of appliance repair. more

bad bad business practices 9/8/2010

the experience with goodmans is horrible. was told i was going to pay for my fridge part which was fine until he told me it was 384,00!!! i asked why so much and was told that was the price even if i were to go get it myself.he hurried come to find out to the bank within the hr. he left my house to cash my check. you know why, he lied to me and deceived me .i immediately looked the part up when he left my home because i had a funny feeling about what he charged, the part was actually 150.00.yes, he can charge what he wants,but don't lie about it. more

CAUTION 7/25/2007

On 07/02/07, Goodman's Appliance & Refrigeration Repair came to repair my Frigedare refrigerator. The freezer had ice/frost on the back wall and the refridgerator was not cooling. He defrosted the freezer and replaced a part (something to do with the defrosting), all for $177.00. On 07/21/07 I noticed the refrigerator was not real cool and that the freezer was once again had ice/frost on the back wall. On 07/23/07 I called Goodman's and the woman answering the phone said she would look through their receipts after I informed her Goodman's ""repaired"" my refridgerator on 07/02/07. After an hour or so, I called Goodman's again, only to get their answering service. I left another message with them. After about 2 hours, I called again, same thing. On 07/24/07, I started calling again and left yet another message with the answering service. After several calls, I called again and asked the answering service if they could at least tell Goodman's to call me and tell me, ""yes"" or ""no,"" if they were coming to repair my refridgerator. I never heard from them and they never showed up. On 07/25/07, I called another appliance repair company and they came out at approximately 7:30 p.m. I was told by them that the part that Goodman's installed was a GE part. He explained that my freezer was not defrosting (same problem I originally called Goodman's for). He said that after the ice/frost was defrosted my refridgerator would freeze/cool until it froze up again. He defrosted my freezer so that I could put my food back in the refridgerator and ordered the CORRECT part the next day. My experience with Goodman's was not good and I will never ever call them again and I WILL tell about my experience with them. Goodman's ripped me off of $177.00. This is my first review about this company, but, it won't be my last. Cons: Everything....... uses wrong parts, doesn't repair, accepts payment, doesn't return calls, etc. etc. more
