This is the best barber shop in Royal Oak for sure! They are actually barbers here. Rich and Denise both have barbers licenses. This is not your typical wanna be barber shop. Both give great haircuts and finish with a neck shave with hot lather. The place is awesome and even open late on different nights. I can stroll in after 6 and still get great service. more

Awesome! Highly recommended!! 5/29/2009

After a lot of research, I decided to go to GoodFellows, and I saw Meg. She paid great attention to detail, listened to what I wanted and did an awesome job! I live within walking distance of 3 other Barber', yet I drive 10 miles just to go here! Clean, pleasant and all at an unbeatable value! I would highly recommend this Barber for anyone of all ages! Old school service 2/10/2009

Meg was great. She took her time, paid attention to detail, and finished it all off with an old fashioned warm-lather-straight-razor neck shave. You won't walk out with patches of uncut hair like most of the men's haircut places in the area. Pros: Neck shave, old-school barber shop feel Cons: Cash only more

Best hair cut for the money! 10/1/2008

I have had my hair cut there 3 time now and each time it's perfect! Very reasonable prices and a straight razor neck shave, just like in the old days! This is a great barber shop, the place looks like you just steped into the 40's. Guys don't spend your $$ on the high end salons, it's all here. This is the only place I will get my hair cut from now on, great job Denise Pros: Best hair cut for the money. more

Great Classic-looking Barber Shop 7/28/2007

Goodfellas has the classic look of an old-time barber and Denise and Meg provide the welcoming service you'd expect. Great haircuts at a reasonable price.\r \r Kid-friendly! I took my 3 year old for his first haircut in a barber shop and Denise did a great job with him. There's even an area set aside for the little 'fellas with puzzles and games to keep them occupied when it's your turn (or if there's a wait).\r \r Great place. I'll be back. Pros: Great Value, Kid friendly, Great cut Cons: Hard to spot from the street. Shop is at an angle. I drove by it the first time. more

Best barber shop in Michigan 7/15/2007

I'm from out of state and was looking for a place to get a haricut. I picked a couple from citysearch and drove around to them. This one caught my attention immediately. It looks like a classic mens barber shop. I got an awesome haircut for a great price. I got the straight razor treatment and my neck DIDN'T feel like it had been lit on fire afterwards (Denise has a very light touch!). I drove about 15 miles to get there and if I had to walk back next time I would. If you're not sure were to go, go to Good Fellows you won't regret it. Pros: Service, quality, staff, atmosphere more
