The Good Shepherd Institute for Healthy Living is designed to offer the community two paths of wellness.
The facility provides advanced outpatient rehabilitative services for individuals requiring a medically-guided continuum of care.
The second path provides individuals and area employers the ability to improve and maintain their health and the health of their employees through a comprehensive fitness and wellness facility.
The Institute for Healthy Living encompasses 75,000 square feet of specially-designed space for the delivery of medical, educational and fitness programs.

The 11,500 square foot strength,conditioning and cardiovascular fitness room is equipped with Pre-Cor and LifeFitness state-of-the-art cardiovascular training equipment with integrated TVs including treadmills,upright and recumbent bicycles,ellipticals,steppers and stairmills,and upper body ergometers. This area also includes LifeFitness Signature and Free Motion Strength Training Equipment with a USB Tracking System to track the training effectiveness of each personal fitness program. Hammer Strength Free Weight Equipment is also available in a designated area. Other services at the Institute include: Located within the Institute for Healthy Living,the Aquatic Center features a 25-meter heated four-lane lap pool designed with a zero step entrance ramp,heated lazy river resistance pool,cold water therapeutic immersion pool and four hot tubs,both private and co-ed. The center offers an adult fitness swim program,senior exercise classes,children's swimming lessons,aquatic exercise,aquatic arthritis classes and prenatal exercise classes. An array of group exercise offerings are available including step,spin,tai chi,yoga,Pilates,and water aerobics to name a few. Four group exercise rooms are each designed to accent the holistic approach to wellness. From a multi-exercise bike spinning room to rooms dedicated to mind and body for yoga and Pilates,individuals have access to a broad selection of exercise choices that promote energy and strength.
