I too adopted a puppy at a price of $400 in September 2010 from Chance and his wife. I was told to contact Good Dog when my pup turned 6mos to schedule his neutering and chipping. I too have emailed several times, called several times, went down to the Gold's gym where we adopted to speak with Chance directly and found out he and his wife have not been there in weeks.
I called the ASPCA along with numerous other organizations to see if this organization is a scam, with no avail. I was told by the ASPCA to file a police report against the organization as taking our money and not fulfilling the agreement made upon adoption to neuter and chip my pup is criminal. I plan on filing a report this week.
It is very unfortunate that this is the situation. I adore my rescued puppy but fear that I am not the only person in this situation. I fear for the families that are relying on the organization to fulfill there agreement to neuter the puppies, as I'm sure most are relying on the funds they paid upon adoption to cover these costs. I have called many vets to compare prices and it is very expensive to neuter and spay animals. I feel for the families that are in the same situation as I too am in.
Beyond that my main reason for contacting the organization was to get information for the other families that adopted from the same litter as I did. My pup has severe allergies and I wanted to see if the other pups from the litter are exhibiting the same problems. It is clearly negligence on behalf of Good Dog to not respond to the families who rescued these beautiful animals.
The irresponsibility of this organization to uphold a the spay and neutering agreement with the families makes me fear for the care and well-being of the multiple animals they rescue.
BE VERY WEARY!!! I am very saddened by my experience and the reputation they give to other very reputable rescue organizations in the area.
