Best

I have been using the RTP location for about 2 years and the locker rooms are finally completed! I agree that they were much needed but Gold's has done wonders with that location...

Worst

I got a one-year membership with Gold's Gym. I canceled it a few months early and canceled all recurring charges (excluding necessary dues for ending my contract early). Cons: ...

Good Gym 7/29/2010

ive been working out at this gym for about 1 year now, in the past year there have been some downs but WAY more ups at the gym. Pros: lots of equipment, pool, basketball, variety Cons: short weekend hours more

Gold's Gym RTP - STAY AWAY 3/28/2010

I got a one-year membership with Gold's Gym. I canceled it a few months early and canceled all recurring charges (excluding necessary dues for ending my contract early). Cons: illegal charges, lies, run-around staff more

Rip Off Rip Off-- This gym's contract 6/24/2009

I started gym with goal to shed some extra pounds and tone up body. I was very excited and signed up for 3 months PT training agreement. Just after 4 weeks of training, the trainer (He was good) ran away and blamed the mis-management for his decision. I did not have trainer for few weeks, then new trainer was assigned, who was never consistent with his timing and wanted me to work according to his time. I accommodated that request, and on couple of occassions went to pick him up to train me. You must be calling me obssessed-to-body-building..though I am not but I was trying to be one in those days. But alas!, this trainer ran away after 5 sessions and blamed horrible management for his resignation. Last trainer was consistent but already I was in 5th month still carrying sessions from first 3 months. I had informed to first trainer about 3 month and he had written in his blackberry but Gold gym still charged me for 4th and 5th month. I could have continued but you won't believe , during casual one-on-one meeting with newly appointed fitness director , I , ""the client"", is being told that this new trainer is novice, inexperienced and further mentioned, that director tells new trainer to try some different exercises that was not conventional. I was ZAPPED. I am paying money for INEXPERIENCED trainer and how glady, plainly director is telling me that. Pros: Closer to my home, 2 good staff members Cons: Dirty locker, Novice trainers, Highly unprofessional GM more

Don't be fooled! 8/18/2008

Don't be fooled when they show you the plans for the ""new renovation"" that they are going to do on the gym. This has been in the making for years now. I am guessing the only reason people join this gym is because there aren't many others around. After all I am new to the area....so do your research, see if there are any other gyms around before you sign a year contract. Just a few of the perks that you get for 40 a month. Locker rooms that smell like urine, about 5 different leaks in the weight room as well as one in the lobby when it rains. Pipes leak everyday. This could be the reason for the gym smelling like mold.....Mold spores.....not the best thing to breathe in when doing cardio. ...water fountains broke, weights not racked.....and you realize this as the staff works out while they are on the clock. Cardio equipment that is nasty. And once again....locker rooms that smell like urine. I don't even go there anymore. I drive 20 mins out of my way to go to another gym. Cons: Dirty, nasty, old, stinks like urine more

Locker rooms are complete 12/28/2005

I have been using the RTP location for about 2 years and the locker rooms are finally completed! I agree that they were much needed but Gold's has done wonders with that location since they purchased it 2 years ago. I understand that they are adding more cardio and weights soon as well as other comestic work. I love the staff and members there, it is a great young professional area and people are friendly but there to exercise! Pros: inexpensive, not crowded, amenitites Cons: busy 5:30pm-7pm more

Good & good value 7/16/2004

It's not as fancy as O2, but it's open until 10pm (rather than 9 for O2) and has a pool & spa. It's also not too crowded in the evenings. The freeweight area could be a bit larger (they said they plan to double the size) and the showers could use renovation (this is also planned, apparently). The ""network"" option which lets you use all Gold's Gyms anywhere in the country for free is a great deal for travelers. Pros: Not too crowded, Good equipment, Good value Cons: , Showers need reno more
