Overall, this is the best gym for the $$ if you don't want a pool, snack bars, etc. I don't want that, so it's a good fit for me.
If you're not a gymrat you may have to ask about how to (correctly) use a lot of the equipment, but there are always staff who are willing to help.
I guess the only negative is that it tends to be the 35+ crowd, so if you are 20-something looking for a younger/more social gym, you may want to look at Lifetime (off Sugarloaf) or one of the LA Fitness Clubs.
Pros: Hours; Trainers are great; lots of classes; equipment good
Cons: Women's area crowded; parking & treadmills crowded at peak
