Great , cheap mexican food with a cultural feel 9/23/2005

Grand Central Market lets you feel what it would be like to walk into a local mercado in Mexico somewhere with it's sawdust shavings on the floor to soak up any grease dripped off your plate, to the fresh tortillas right off the stove. You can buy an ounce of ground chipotle pepper, a pig's head, a torta filled with carnitas, fresh pomegranate juice and a bag of avocados to take home. It's a place with a little of everything at cheap prices. Don't be afraid to indulge yourself in the culture in the heart of downtown. Parking is validated for an hour or two with a purchase. more

like i always say- when theres a line- the food must be that good.... there's this mexican joint there that sells tacos and tortas........ they are TO DIE FOR..... health nuts- forget about it..... the food is abundant and a bit greasy but it's soooooooooo good- all walks of life come here.... it's funny to see business men in line with the poorest patrons- all ready for some yummy tacos....... if you must eat somewhere ind owntown los angeles.... please... do yourself a favor and go!!!!!!! more
