Having grown up in Riverdale (now living Upstate) good food is hard to come by. Having family that lives in Riverdale is my saving grace, I can get Chinese from Golden Gate. The spare ribs (any of them including the tips) are the best. They are barbequed to prefection, you get the little black pieces on your mouth (yummy). The fried rice is not oily and is tasty with their dumpling sauce. Their paper chicken brings me right back to my childhood, saucey chicken served in little tin foil packets. The mixed soup(wonton & egg drop) is filling on it's own, if you want a lite meal. They are the only wontons that I eat. To top it off if you want a full meal I would choose the standards -beef and broccoli and white meat chicken chow mein. They are also very accomedating (my sister is a vegan and does not eat anything with oil). Next time you are in the mood for ""american"" chinese Golden Gate is the place to go.
Pros: Spare Ribs!!!, The ambience is cozy
Cons: Sometimes take out orders are not correct
