In a town where the pickins are pretty slim, I can recommend this roadhouse staple for one thing and one thing only: steak. They've added it to the buffet (read ""trough"") so there's no need to even touch a menu. Just park the car, pay the tab (less than $10), grab a tray, and sidle up to the grill. Don't bother with any of the side dishes. They're just filler, and barely that. And unless you want an unappetizing eyeful of local color and road-weary vagabonds, don't look up from your plate. The steak is surprisingly good. So fill your belly with all the savory grilled cow you can hold, and save dessert for the Dairy Queen in Ruidoso.
Pros: steak, price, steak
Cons: hideous atmosphere, gross side dishes, seedy clientele
