I eat GC at least 3 times a month. I always get chicken strips, mashed potatoes and extra rolls. with sweet tea, which is just the best tea ever. I have to admit the place is kind of empty. But thats because people don't really know about this place. It's my favorite place. Just dip your strips in your potatoes, and also dip you roll in the potatoes. JUST THE BEST. Get the number 2 for 7.99 and they will give you extra pieces of strip. Pros: The best chicken strip, potatoes, everything Cons: pricey more

poor service, over priced 10/10/2009

Just came from the Golden Chick in Pflugerville. No one in line. No one inside but 2 employees. The owner, manager answered the drive in order and consistently talked over me, interrupted and of course got the order wrong. I repeatedly told him I wanted 2 thighs. He asked me 3 times, I repeated 3 times and I got 1 thigh and 1 leg. This was my second trip thru the drive thru...last time, no okra. I won't go back. Pros: they have fried okra Cons: try to get a word in edgewise more

Really small portions! 3/10/2009

Portions don't match price. Clean though and fish is great ; unless you have lap band, buy catfish somewhere else. 3-piece order will run you about 5$ add cole slaw and a drink be ready to add an additional $4. Most sitdown restaurants offer comparable quality, better value, and carry- option-- more importantly, sitdowms give filets that are much bigger than the 2-inch filets at golden chick. more
