I rented a place here this year. I would not recommend this place. The reasons: 1) Noise. Golden has an automotive show every month, and that show causes hot rods with big, loud engines to go driving by all day, mere feet from the apartments. On days when there is no auto show, the other traffic -- including frequent traffic in the middle of the night -- will be enough to keep all but the deepest sleeper awake all night long. 2)Staff/landlord. The head custodian/property manager, whose name starts with T, is a nice and personable guy. However, he is very lazy. He does not follow up with phone calls regarding anything having to do with the apartment, and if you cannot track him down in person (which is not that easy because he isnt there often) you are out of luck if you have any kind of problem. Also, very disorganized. If you drop off your rent check and they lose it, guess what? You will pay a late fee. The off-site management/accounting for Golden Arms, run by ""Bantaam Apartments"" is run by a rude and acinine woman who will go out of her way to charge you a ""fine"" for anything ranging from singing in the hallway to unplugging the bathtub in case it gets stopped up -- the latter being quite possible since the plumbing is old and crusty. If there is any kind of problem with you, your lease, or you apartment, the staff, despite that they have your contact phone number on file, will use these strange clothes hooks that have been attached to the front entries of each apartment to attach notices for anything ranging from the rent you owe that month to fee and fine statements to eviction notices to simple messages such as ""we found your mail"". They are too lazy and lacking in interpersonal skills to call you, so they use this way instead. 3) Price. It may seem cheaper than nearby places upon first glance, but given the condition of the apartments, its not worth it. STEER CLEAR!!
