My children have been patients of Dr. Byars for 18 years now. (with the exception of a few years when we moved out of state) When we moved back to AL. we started back with her and will continue to be with her until my youngest child enters college. We have driven from Cullman AL (well over an hour away) and would drive further if needed. We are more than pleased with Dr. Byars and her staff as well. The only thing I would change is that she would continue to see my girls even after they turn 18 :) We love, love, love Dr. Anne Byars! more

ALL THE DOCTORS AT SOUTHLAKE ARE GREAT AND FRIENDLY!! WE SEE DR.GOLDBLATT AND WE LOVE HIM!! HE IS OLD FASHION BUT A VERY GOOD DOCTOR!! MY KIDS LOVE HIS DONALD DUCK PUPPET AND HE DOES A GREAT IMPRESSION OF DONALD!! HE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND STRAIGHT FORWARD. HE MAKES SURE YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING AND ASKS IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AND HE ANSWERS ALL OF THEM!! I FEEL SO COMFORTABLE AROUND HIM AND WITH HIM CARING FOR MY KIDS!! more

Dr. Byars is a great doctor she was my physician when I was 5 years old till I was 18 years old. She was located at brookwood at this time. Now she is my son's physician at Southlake. I would never consider taking my son to another physician. She is very understanding and helps my son in any way possible and she has also helped me in the past. I Highly Recomend Her!! more

I drive over an hour to take my children to see Dr. Byars. She's a wonderful doctor, very knowledgeable, GREAT bedside manner, and just wonderful overall. She's very friendly and GREAT with the kids. And I rarely ever wait very long, which is awesome!!!!\r \r As for Dr. Goldblatt, I saw him when I was a child, and I'm 30 now. He was a great doctor then, and I am sure he is now. I don't know how he is with the wait time, but as a doctor, he is great. He helped me through some rough times, I must say. more

Dr. McCown is a wonderful doctor and my 2 daughters have seen him since birth. He stays abreast of all the newest treatments and if needed will refer you to the best specialists in the area. My children have also seen Dr. Byars on several occasions and she is also very knowledgeable and friendly. more

Dr. Anne Byars is wonderful. Both of my children have been patients of hers since birth. She truly has a gift in pediatrics, and uses it! Dr. Byars is well beyond competent, very thorough, and she is always current on anything to do with pediatrics. That's very important to me, because while most doctors have experience, I also want a ped. who knows the latest trends in medicine and studies about such. Byars is exceptionally great with kids, she has a way of putting parents at ease, and the kids LOVE her! If any doctor visit could be considered ""fun"" for the kids, this would be the place! We make the 45 minute drive just to see her. Pros: very knowledgeable, great bedside manner more

We have been seeing Dr. Byars for about 14 years. My daughters and I love her. She is an excellent pediatrician. Dr. Byars is very knowledgeable and has a terriffic bedside manner. Southlake Pediatrics is a wonderful place to take your children for medical care. The pediatrian that treats my twin 3 1/2 year olds, and my soon to be newborn is Dr. Andrew McCowan. He has treated the twins since they were born. He is kind, attentive, and has always given top notch care. I trust him implicitly! When Dr. McCowan was unavailable, which is rare, we have had the pleasure of seeing the other two partners. They have also given wonderful care. I am always able to get an appointment when needed! This is a top notch facility. more

I have taken my children to Southlake Pediatrics since I moved here 4 yrs ago. If you would've asked me 2 yrs ago to rate the office I would've given it one or two stars. At that time we saw Dr. Goldblatt and, while he's very knowledgeable and relates to the kids through his use of puppets, he was soooooooooo slow. I never made it in and out of the office in less than an hour or two no matter what our visit was for. Last year I switched all 3 of my kids to Dr. Ann Byars (in the same office) and I love, love, love her! She gives us the attention we need, but doesn't keep us waiting in the tiny exam room for an hour! Pros: nicely decorated office. A well child waiting room. friendly staff Cons: Long wait time for Dr. Goldblatt. more

I grew up in Mountain Brook and I've been seeing Dr. Goldblatt all my life, now my six little ones see him. He is an awesome pediatrician and I highly recommend him. He's terrific with kids and is an excellent doctor. \r \r Once you see him, you won't bother checking out other pediatricians. He is FANTASTIC!!!\r \r Pros: Well-trained, great with kids, extremely knowledgable, best all round doctor I've ever met. Cons: None at all!! more
