I chose Gold and Witham because of their experience (look up their career history -they know this field from both sides). They have intimate knowledge of the courts in Los Angeles and surrounding counties (Van Nuys Superior Courthouse in my case) and the various prosecutors and judges. As said in prior reviews, you will have to WORK for a reduced sentence, but your effort, with their legal guidance is worth it. Their system has earned them the respect of the courts, and that goes a long way. Apart from these efforts resulting in assets that can be used to individuate you from the next DUI case, they will undoubtedly positively affect your emotional and psychological well being. Mr Gold, explained to me that the best way to work with the courts is to show them that you are not just another number on a piece of paper. You will be requested to go to at least 40 AA meetings, get letters of recommendation from colleagues and employers, and possibly see a clinical psychologist. Trust me when I say that, IT IS WORTH IT. Not only will this paint a picture for the prosecutor, it will also educate you. The AA meetings are the best way to see how alcohol can affect lives, and the letters force you to admit your (alleged) offenses to those around you. They did everything I thought a lawyer should do, and more. And when you're looking at a DUI it's those extra things that really put you at ease. Good: Jeff Gold is competent, communicates in layman's terms, is honest and tells it like it is. He made it very clear what actions I had to take the lead on and assure they were accomplished before my court date. I did. That and Mr. Gold's knowledge in the ways of the court and his ability to negotiate respectfully with the court, three of four counts I was being charged with were dismissed. No small accomplishment. Bad: If there was a down side, and there truly was not, it would be my out of pocket cost for everything due directly to my bad decisions that got me where I was in the first place. If you NEED a reduced sentence, this works. Although expensive ($6,500), they are worth it. They make you go to at least 40 AA meetings and acquire letters of recommendations from previous employers or instructors; A unique tactic that judges do not see often. In court, my judge said she was "impressed" with the amount of work I had done prior to my hearing. My BAC level was 0.19. My sentence was carried out as if my BAC level was 0.10. I received a 3 month alcohol program instead of a 9 month program. My fine was close to $1700 in total. I received zero community service and a 6 month suspension of my license. All together, my DUI cost $10,000 including the towing fee. more

fantastic experience and phenomenal results. very organized and on top of their game. Gold will tell you how it is, except sometimes i wish he would have broken it to me gently. However, this helped me a lot because not only was I prepared for the worst, but I was able to see the seriousness of my situation. I suggest asking what some of the terms mean, because honestly i didn't know some of the new terms that were introduced to me that the court uses and so forth. I was charged with 2 DUI's (showed signs of not being able to drive and failing bac test). Gold dismissed one of my under 21, above .08 bac, DUI and for the other one i was only charged with a dry reckless. these results were phenomenal! he also get rid of a fake ID charge. I only had to pay minimum fines. I definitely could not have gotten the same results had i not hired Gold. FANTASTIC results!!! i could not be happier with these results. more
