I could go on about how friendly and professional these guys are, but instead I'll touch on some of the little things that made fixing my car a positive experience. When the job became more difficult than expected, they kept me in the loop as to what was happening. They stuck to their original quote even though the job took longer than anticipated. They answered my questions without making me feel uninformed. But perhaps most importantly, they made me feel like they valued my business, which goes a long way with me. Last but not least, they fixed my problem and my car rides great again. Highly recommended! more

These guys were great. I have an older car and several things are starting to go wrong. They were great at diagnosing the issues and repaired the problems within the schedule and estimate they stated. They are extremely fair with their pricing. In one case we agreed on a price,but after they started the job, realized it was a smaller job that originally thought and my bill much less than the agreed upon estimate. more

I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience with Gold Seal Transmissions. A few years ago i was looking for a reliable transmission shop for repair on my car. A friend recommended Gold Seal and i brought my car there and was fixed without a problem. Recently i had to bring my collector car, a 1953 Chevy for some major repairs. My transmission was completley rebuilt and it now works fine. In the time that my car was in for service it was always kept indoors and well protected. I would highly recommend Gold Seal Transmissions for any kind of work no matter how large or small. more

This is a second generation business that has served the area for many years. Many local auto dealers send their repair work to them because they do the job right without any questions. We had our trans replaced elsewhere and had nothng but problems afterward. We then brought it to them and the repair was done promptly, courteouosly and professionally. and a fair price less than the first repair shop. We later had another car problem and they fixed that one for a lot less with the same quality customer service and quality workmanship! Highest recommendation to everyone! more

We had our Taurus trans replaced by another location and had to bring it to Guy and son to get ir replaced again. Their price was less and they did a fantastic job. We later had another repair that needed work and they also helped us with that one at a great price, too. This is a family business with 2 generations of happy customers! Arrogant staff and condescending..Shop around before you bring your car here, unfortunately I didn?t and I now regret it. They are extremely expensive, and very slow. more

This mechanic is by far the worst, most unprofessional place I have ever been too. After they worked on my car, I brought it home to find 2 other things wrong with it... things that "just happened" to be on the same circuit that they were fixing??? hm mm... Not only did they take no responsibility for their poor work, they got angry with ME for suggesting that it was their fault!!! I ended up taking my car to another mechanic and having them fix it because I couldn't argue with Gold Seal anymore. I am not the only one who has had problems with this mechanic. One of my coworkers recently told me the nightmare he had with them as well. Apparently, they accepted to fix a small problem on his car on Thursday, but did not return the car until TUESDAY. When my coworker questioned why it took them so long, they told him that they were busy with their annual PIG ROAST!!! He also had more things wrong with his car after they "fixed it" and again, they did not correct their "mis"work. Again, thi more
