My husband and I went to SB for a diamond ring for our anniversary and we were disappointed. I have heard nothing but great reviews about this place so I was expecting great service! Ellen the sales woman acted like she was doing us a favor showing us rings. She invited us into her office to describe exactly what we wanted and we were willing to spend $6-8,000 for a ring. She told us that she would get back to us and we have NEVER heard from her again. We called her several times and left messages for her to no avail. We will be taking our business else where if this is how they treat their customers. more

I called ahead to make sure I could get the repair I sought, Kerri did not seem like she wanted to work with me but still gave me a quote. When I arrived I was told it was her day off, not sure why I wasnt told ahead of time, I tried again a different day and she was out so her dad decided to run the show even though I was told only Kerri could do the repairs, he decided that he did not want to work on it, so I was sent away. Bad part is the owner asked me several times to stop by. more

This business provides the highest quality customer service and products possible and very reasonable prices. We have used them for repairs, estimates, and new purchases. The staff is always friendly. Their selection is very large. Indeed, we first used them when shopping for the "engagement" ring (after 25 years of marriage) that my wife had always wanted. We already had a diamond and needed a setting. The Gold Connection had more settings on display than even the largest mall stores. We must have gone back there 3 or 4 times and the staff never lost patience. Finally my wife made a choice and Kerri took the setting my wife liked best and modified it. Now my wife has the ring of her dreams. Kerri and my wife have worked out a "wish list" so that I can go there and make a choice that I know will please her. This is how businesses used to be run. I am very glad that we found this jewel of a store. more

When I moved to Richmond from Houston four years ago, I ran across The Gold Connection. I happened to go in there to look for a gift, and have been going to them for everything since. I get my repairs, dips, gifts and a little something for myself every now and then and have NEVER been disappointed. The staff greets you as soon as you walk in the door... it's nice to go to a shop when you can hear the laughter as soon as you drive up. Never too stuffy or serious, it's a fun place to go if you like personalized, knowledgeable service with a smile. more

We purchased my daughter's high school senior ring from The Gold Connection. She got just what she wanted, and we saved money. It was a perfect match. They also sell lots of other lovely jewelry there, and their staff is very friendly and helpful to assist in finding just what you want. more

I found this place pretty good when looking to get my girlfriend an anniversary gift. Though I did not buy anything from here, I found the store to be like every other jewelry store. I wish it had a big name attached to it that every girl knew which would make this a more valuable store to go to and buy from. I did like the service they provided me, and I do believe the bracelet they recommended was really nice. If you want a nice place to go to with reasonable prices but not a popular name, go here. more

This is a nice jewelry store and the owners are even nicer. My husband and I went to this stire to pick out my engagement ring a few years ago, and I have used them for everything since. They are so wonderful. PROS: friendly owners and staff CONS: none more
