Goddard School

I wanted to respond to the review written by Jesse O. I am so sorry that you had a misunderstanding at Goddard School in West Goshen. I too was unable to get our baby girl into the school when we were first looking for schools. This has nothing to do with Jen, but the fact that West Goshen Goddard is probably the absolute best school in the area and there always seems to be difficulty getting admitted, especially as an infant. After time and a bad incident at another daycare I was able to get admittance luckily and on a second's notice. I stopped by the school on a Friday late afternoon after the indident and spoke to Jen. She listed and helped us get the baby admitted that Monday morning.. They do have certain policies that she must follow from a corporate perspective. I was lucky that at the time of our incident there was an opening in the infant room. That was just one incident. I can't tell you how many times she has helped me out or even just listened. Don't believe what Jen tells you! I believe the child care here is very good here as my wife and I were impressed with the curriculum and had every intention of registering our child. However, that is where the issues arose with the owner Jen. It started off with her guaranteeing us a spot, us signing all the paper work and giving her our deposit. My wife and I were ecstatic that we were able to enroll our child here. Unfortunately, the excitement was short lived as we got a call 2 weeks later informing us that we could have our child enrolled from July to September, but then would have to find alternate accommodations October and November and then return in December. Obviously, this was NOT an option and not sure how Jen thought this was normal and easy for us to do. After we told her we could not do this she gave us a long diatribe about not returning deposits, but she would make an exception for us, are you kidding me! more

This Goddard School is one of the best in the country! They consistently win awards for their childcare, preschool, and organizational programs. I seriously evaluated many child-care and preschool options for my children and found this to be the best of the best. I have been extremely happy with the staff, the teachers, and the management. My children have flourished and they love going to school, all 3 of them! Big thumbs up! more

That's right, An Institution with a HEART. I wanted all 3 of my children to be challenged, as if they were in a regular school starting at 2 years of age! Although we did not want the ?just another child? feeling; not only does the teachers know the names of their students but the administration knows the children and parents? on a first name basis! We have been more than thrilled that we've chosen this specific Goddard School. Our older 2 children have already excelled in their elementary schools and we feel that it is a direct result of their Goddard School experience! Pros: Clean, Safe, Knowledgeable Cons: Few more
