Great little bookstore in DC 12/30/2005

The bookstore is fairly small but it has a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the store has a decent selection of books. If you ever want to relax with a book this is a great, quiet place to have some quality reading time. The only negative is you will pay a little more than you would in a larger box bookstore. more

Well needed bookstore in Glover Park 8/21/2005

If there's one thing that the Glover Park area needs more than anything else it's a bookstore. There are restaurants and grocery stores, but not many retail stores on the strip. Glover Books is a nice neighborhood store that carries a small but select range of books. I usually do not go there if I am looking for something specific. There is not the wide selection of books like a Borders. But that's okay, it's not meant to. It's a nice place to browse and find a book that might interest you. The salespeople are friendly also. more

Upper NW books 8/15/2005

This relatively small bookshop in upper northwest isn't the best bookstore in DC, but it is a cute little place with a friendly staff. In addition to books they also sell CD's. The atmosphere is cozy and it's a nice place to curl up and read for a while. The smaller bookstores can't always compete with the big chains but they can make up in atmosphere for the slightly higher prices of their merchandise. more
