If you think that 20/20 is perfect vision, more homework is recommended. All that means is that at 20 feet you can see what most people can see at that distance. So, if you are over-corrected, for example, you may end up having difficulty seeing within the first 20 feet. This is not a desirable outcome either. If I were going to do it over, I would consider going somewhere where they have both of the leading technologies so they could recommend the best one for me, and I would have gone somewhere where the surgeon is there on an on-going/daily basis and is involved in the initial exam and follow-up care. There are plenty of sites with great questions to ask. I wish I would have asked more of them instead of being so impressed by the positive feedback, the great deal and the fact that I know others who had positive surgery outcomes elsewhere years ago who have always encouraged me to have the surgery. So, yes, most people have positive outcomes but if you are one of the ones who does not, it is a whole different experience.
