Glicks used to be a place you could get personal service and advice, today it is staffed by rude, uneducated women who don't know one cut of meat from another. I'm not being sexi...

House warming party 1/25/2009

Glick's catered our house warming party and it was a huge success. The food was fantastic and everybody wanted to know where we ordered from. The prices are a little pricey however, how many catering places give you serving spoons an serving tongs for every tray as well as plates. These are not the usual cheap extras in which the food bleeds thru the plate and the serving spoons are broke in 10 minutes these are high quality that can be used for that backyard BBQ for years. They are also very flexible in which more people decided to show up than expected. They took a quick order and had it ready with the rest of the food ON TIME!. 5 stars. Gary Hughes more

The Best! 10/27/2008

I ordered Glick's deep pit beef for my husband's 40th birthday party and all I heard all night was how good the meat was! It tasted wonderful and fell apart when you ate it. The best part was that for an additional $6, they shredded it and put it in a pan. Totally worth it! The price for the meat was great, also. \r I'll use Glick's again and again! more

Local Meat at a Reasonable Price 10/3/2008

I prefer to purchase my meat at our local deli, Glick's in Visalia. The meat is always fresh, and very reasonably priced. They have a wide variety of meats, as well as sides and seasonings to go with them. They will even season them for you, all you have to do is tell them what you want!\r \r The staff is not as knowledgeable or attentive as it could be, but they still meet the needs of the shoppers. They are a small, local deli with a very small staff, but the meat and prices make it worth it. more

Used to be good.....not so anymore 6/22/2007

Glicks used to be a place you could get personal service and advice, today it is staffed by rude, uneducated women who don't know one cut of meat from another. I'm not being sexist, maybe there are rude uneducated men in the back, but the front staff the last 2 times I've been there has been exclusively women. I asked for veal or beef bones for stockmaking.... I was offered ham hocks, a lamb shank and finally veal shanks that were covered in permafrost. They were rude and offended when I didn't want to spend $15/lb for osso bucco to make stock! They also didn't know the difference in flanken style or english style short ribs. Very disappointing because they used to be so good. more
