I have used Dr Glick for some crowns on for filings that needed to be repaired. I can say that he did a good job on those.
Dr Glick had mentioned to me that I would need to have some cosmetic work done on my 4 top front teeth since a "bonding job" I had done on them was chipping. He had repeatedly stated that I should have these done every time I went in for a checkup or a filling.
Finally I took the leap and decided to have Dr Glick do the cosmetic work on the 4 front teeth. The cost was a bit high as compared to other dentists but I felt he did quality work that would last. We are talking a little over $4400 dollars here.
While doing the Porcelain Crowns, Dr Glick was polishing one on the teeth; it promptly flew out on his hand across the room and landed on the floor. We spent a good 15-20 mins looking for this tooth! We then found it and the good doctors set it.
Dr Glick insisted that I spend an additional $500 dollars for a "Night Guard " due to grinding. I told him I was a bit short on cash because I just laid out 4400 + dollars for the work he just did.
I moved out of the NJ area and relocated.
Less than 2 years go by and the first crown to crack\break is the one that hit the floor that day in the office. Now the second third teeth have cracks in them and are about to fall apart. This is less than 2 years. Typically they should last at least 10 years.
I called Dr Gary Glick a few weeks ago to tell him what's going on with the cracked crowns. He refuses to do anything for me on the basis on me not buying a mouth guard. I spent 4400 + dollars and now have 4 broken crowns in the front. I can't tell you how embarrassing it is to smile now.
I have spoken with other dentists, ones that actually teach dentistry and they feel like the "GOOD DOCTOR" should be professional step up to the plate and fix his work. But at this time Dr Glick refuses to do so.
So I have a few options here and I have to choose a course of action soon.
1) Sue Dr Glick in Court
2) Stop smiling and look like a fool with broken teeth
3) Have the work completely redone and spend another $4400 dollars.
Being a professional myself in the Healthcare Industry I stand by my work. In the event I make a mistake or a client has an issue that involves my work as a professional I feel obligated to fix\repair the issue. I guess that Dr Glick feels like he can refuse to do anything for me.
In my opinion if your looking for a dentist that stands by his work and if by chance you have an issue with his work, DO NOT GO TO DR GARY GLICK, he will not admit fault nor will he repair anything he's already been paid for.
On a personal note I feel very let down by this whole experience, I put my faith in this man and he let me down. Prior to this experience I had recommended Dr Glick to anyone that asked me about a good dentist in the area.
SHAME SHAME SHAME on you.
I refuse to go away and take a hit for 4400 dollars.
