I walked in with a vacuum i got from sears or something, and it had been only a couple months. It was already not working, and was going to cost some money ( I had asked a couple other cleaners and they were going to charge the same). I talked to them finding out a whole lot more about companies now, and I also realized you could get a vacuum lasting you 10-20 years for 800 (if you want the best of the best cleaning wise). I also found you could get good warranty on it. Sebo costs $800 with 5 year warranty on everything, and they thought of everything. They make sure the rotator (as i call it) can be cleaned, and if something is stuck you can pull it out. I suggest these people because they can help you no matter what. A few customers came in while I was there, and they told me that we (me and my husband) could trust what the store said. I am glad i talked to them because I would've spent 300 dollars on some awful vacuum that would break down in a year. My friends have bought 5 vacuums at the price of 300 dollars within 3 1/2 years, and they all broke down. They recommended glenview vacuum after finding a vacuum that actually last them. Sure it wasn't 100 dollars or something, but it actually lasted. more

I've been a customer of Glenview Vacuum on Waukegan Rd for almost 15 years. I got a few cheap vacuums which Glenview Vacuum expertly repaired. When I got tired of spending the money replacing and repairing my vacs, I asked them to recommend a good vacuum for an endlessly shedding dog, 2 kids and a house with carpeting and hardwood floors. They recommended the new S8390 Dog and Cat Miele canister vacuum. I've had it a couple of months and love it! They gave me a better price than Abt appliances for my crappy trade in and they even threw in some bags. I would highly recommended this store for its exceptional customer service whether you need a repair or to purchase a new vacuum! more

I took my electrolux here to be fixed. The guy spent the whole time telling me how crappy my vacuum is and trying to sell me a $700 vacuum. I asked if they had any less expensive ones and he literally just raised his eyebrows at me. Weird. Cost $80 to fix the little thing that releases the vacuum and it still sticks. more

They tell everything one would need to know about all the vacuums and are honest on which ones have the most suction and will last the longest, so one would not need to buy another one. They give one on one attention and will sell vacuums that are reliable. Pros: Personal and helpful more

Have been repairing my older machines for years because they have fewer plastic parts and GLENVIEW VACUUM has been keeping them running way beyond what the life expediency should be. Once again I took in an older machine. They did repaires for $150. Ended up buying a new Riccar (on their recommendation) and they gave me a full credit of $150 towards my new machine plus let me take my old one home. Also gave me 24 bags free. My new Riccar is the best machine I have ever owned. Great at picking up and easy to maneuver. I highly recommend this store for both their superior customer service and knowledge. Repaired a vaccuum without authorization and when questioned offered to ""put it back"" for a mere $150.00. Unreasonable, and unwilling to rectify even after many calls. If they make a mistake, they will bill you for it! more

Very rude service. Called to ask a few questions and they actually hung up on me stating they were too busy. I would NEVER go to this store. more

This Vacuum store has superb service. When I walk in the store a nice women greeted me. She said ""Hello how may I help you"". I told her I needed a new vacuum. I said I had a Miele for 5 years and it died out. She told me a Riccer would be the best for my floor type. She was a lot more helpful then they were at APT. and even cheaper. Pros: This store is cheaper then orther stores like APT. & it has almost no lines because it is a small, yet good store. Cons: I am not sure it has any. more
