Glenmorgan Bar & Grill

Was in there for dinner with a friend. Had been there a while ago and thought it was very good. Wow, have they gone downhill. The food was AWFUL! I had salmon - it was bathed in a sauce that tasted like it was canned, the piece of fish was overcooked and minuscule. Our server was no where to be found. When we spoke to one of the ""managers"" about our disappointment, he was nonchalant and stated he was sorry for our dislike and he will tell the chef...that's it! Arrogant and unprofessional! Since we live in the area and frequent the establishments here with business associates and friends (many from out of town) we always are happy to make appropriate recommendations. This, I am afraid will not be on our list. The best thing the owners can do is close and start anew. Terrible, from top to bottom, and the staff is deplorable. We went for the Christmas buffet. Looking at the comment card we were given to complete, we were greeted when we arrived. The atmosphere was fair at best. So was the food: mostly bland and more like ordinary cafeteria than even good hotel cusine. Pros: Plenty of parking Cons: Food, service and atmosphere were disappointing. Glenmorgan is a great spot for dinner for two, or bring along another couple. Seating seems to always be available, so planning dinner at the last minute has never been a problem. The food and service has been consistently good. They seem to change the menu with the seasons and offer little specialty menus time and again. Saturday nights offers a prime rib dinner special that can rival some of the other steakhouses in the area. I would highly recommend Glenmorgan to any Main Line local looking for a guaranteed good meal. This was the most depressing bar I've ever walked into. It felt like a Holiday Inn stranded out by an airport in Cleveland type of bar. My friend and I were looking for a new place to have a drink and after reading the positive reviews we thought we'd try this place. It was just dreary and awful, and we had to walk out. Tiny, cramped, absolutely no character or ambiance... even if I was staying at that hotel I don't think I could sit in that place and have a drink. If you are looking for something hip, youthful, or even understated and tasteful, don't go here. It was blander than bland. Cons: Everything more

I brought a date to dinner here one night to try it out. The double doors with the ""g""s on them was a nice touch, and the interior is decorated with a very clean and modern look to it. We were seated in the dining room and started off with some of their special martinis. Very creative. We shared the Glenmorgan salad. BEST SALAD EVER, hands down. The for dinner she had this pork dish and I ordered one of their steakhouse selections. Hers was presented beautifully and was super tasty. My filet was cooked perfectly and the side of spinach was a must! For the quality of food and drink, this was well priced compared to some of the competition. Plus, you can hang at the bar and not walk out stinking like smoke. I cant wait to go back once the weather gets nice and eat outside. Pros: 100% non-smoking, tons of parking, affordable more

The food was incrediblily sexy. The most recent time I went there was a wonderful special of Scallop ""BLT"", it was unbelieveable and extremely fresh. The regular menu items are in constant improvement. The service is also pretty good for a mainline restuarant. Go, Go, Go! more
