My mother has been living at Glenbrooke for over four years now. She constantly complains about the food not being very good (except for Sunday lunch and some evening meals). The grounds are pretty well maintained and the inside of the main building is nice. Now that mom is in the assisted living, we are seeing a real lack in the providing of services that she is paying a lot of money for. People are constantly moving out, often after only a few months, and we hear lots of grumbling. There is not enough staff and they are overworked, although most of them are very nice and try their best to help everyone. One key area of concern is the oversight of meds. The nursing staff is not what it claims to be and they are not consistent or reliable in doling out meds as prescribed. Also, the housekeeping is almost non-existent.
