Glen Ellyn Storage Corp

I work for JCPenney, and this is a local delivery company for our major appliance division in this area. They have done nothing but absolutely mess up the situation for my customer so I have been dealing with this company's errors since 12-11 and was finally resolved on 1-22-18. There is no reason this company did and didn't do things to assist our customer, and in my experience of over a year, this is the worst delivery company we have ever used. more

Glen Ellyn Moving and Storage provided installation of my new GE double wall oven. I honestly thought it was strange that a moving and storage company also installs appliances but I was told that Home Depot also uses this company for their installs. The customer service was spot on. I dealt with Brian, I was hoping for an install date (before my sons graduation) that was not going to work out for them, but instead he was able to get me one a day earlier with a guaranteed delivery time! He told me I would be the first stop at 7am, and three men were here with my spiffy new oven on time! They were all polite, friendly and neat. They even waited patiently a few minutes while my husband made some cuts to our cabinets to fit the oven in better. All went well from customer service to delivery and install! more

On three days my Glen Ellyn crew (Mark, James, Brian, Dan, Jamie) packed and wrapped and carried all day long to fill an oversea container with all our belongings. Every day they were at my house on time, worked very hard but always in a good mood, handled my stuff with care and had a lot of patience with all my "special wishes". Over all it was the best experience I ever had with a moving crew. i highly recommend this company. more

I relocated a couple weeks ago from my childhood home of 60 years. Glen Ellyn Storage was absolutely great! This was first time ever moving and all the workers had a sense of humor that really put me at ease. I've already called the company to personally compliment them. Not one single thing was broken: I have a lot of glass and sentimental items. I hope I don't have to move again, but if i did, I'd call them. I found out about them through my best friend who used to be a realtor. She's done personal moves with them several years ago and she was happy. She also had clients who used them too. This was a big move for me even though it was only 10 miles. The workers were really great and personable. I wouldn't change a thing about my experience. more

I found Glen Ellyn Storage Corp. from doing an internet search. They were responsible for making a 1 mile move. There were minimal damages to my property. The movers were on time and professional. The only downside to my experience was that I was told an initial quote and I had selected specific dates for the move; well, when it came to make the move they told me that they were going to keep my things over night in storage because it was a holiday weekend and that I was going to be charged a different price. I understood their reasoning for holiday services and costs, however, I wasn't told this in the beginning when I made my call to them. So, I suggest that potential customers makes sure that the dates for service are correct and to get the quotes in writing. Other then that I had a satisfactory experience with Glen Ellyn Storage Corp - their customer service staff were very good. more

This was my first time ever using Glen Ellyn Storage Corp. I found out about this storage company from a friend. I needed to be moved from one city to another and the service was satisfactory. However, I did I have one minor damage to one of my personal belongings. The movers were professional and on time. I would recommend others to use this company. more

My mom had deceased and I needed to clean out her condo and move her belongings. Glen Ellyn Storage Corp. was able to execute this complicated move. The 3 movers were very careful and dainty on how they moved and packed up our valuable belongings like dishes, paintings and glassware. The company would call during the process in the move to make sure everything was going along as planned. They even called us after the move to follow up with us regarding our experience. The 3 gentleman did such a wonderful job and went above the call of duty that we wanted to show our gratitude; and the company was able to arrange a way where we were able to do that. We had a positive experience from Glen Ellyn Storage Corp. and I would recommend this company to everyone. more

Glen Ellyn Storage really did provided a great service for us when we needed it most. With everything being so hectic and frantic during a move - it was just so nice to have everything be hassle free. They took the time to make sure we were comfortable and really had our best interests at heart. It's nice to feel valued and respected as a customer. Very bad customer service. I had Mayflower move my things into storage and then into a house we purchased. I used storage for 4 months. They packed and unpacked for me. All told, I paid them over 10k for all services. I submitted a $150 claim for an electronic that was never located once we were all unpacked. They denied my claim. The reason is that I submitted the claim nearly 30 days after they moved me. The claim was made well within their stated claim time frame. After all the money I spent with them, they keep another $150 because? Because they can. I'm very disappointed and will never use or recommend Mayflower. If they are so greedy they keep $150, what would they do if your claim was for more? Never using them again. What a disgrace this company is. more

Everyone from Glen Ellyn Storage was friendly and helpful and had a good attitude. We appreciated that they wanted to move us and get things back to normal for us. We made one move, but they suggested we separate that move into two separate times with two different crews. The first crew came on time and the second crew came 20 minutes early. They took boxes and moved some big furniture including a piano and a huge cabinet, and all of them seemed to do their best. Their expressions were very cheerful--and all of them had good spirits. Bobby the driver was very conscientious, and so were Zach, Andres, Eric and Jordan. Sue W., who also works at Glen Ellyn Storage, is great; and, the head salesman Steve Price, who came over and talked to us, was very good and planned things well. When people move, it is a very stressful time. But if the movers are friendly and helpful, it helps the stress level not to be so high. The second crew was more vocal in their wanting to help us, but the first crew was also good and overwhelmed by boxes and the constant moving of them. They were tuckered out by the time they finished at the end of the day. Both crews did their best. Everything arrived OK after the first move and, after the second time, a paper shredder seemed to have been dropped and was ruined--but they told us to put a claim in. We would definitely use Glen Ellyn Storage again. more

Glen Ellyn Storage Corp. took care of everything that needed to be taken care of. They were very polite and accomplished the job well. We moved from the suburbs to the city, and they had to deal with some issues. The high rise wasn't particularly convenient to getting our things into the building, because the truck didn't fit on the loading deck. Yet, Glen Ellyn Storage's staff still managed to get everything in--and on a timely basis. We've used them at least two other times and it's been a lot of years. We would probably use them again if we needed to. more

I used Glen Ellyn Storage Corp for my latest move and I am very pleased with the job they did. They were fast and efficient which I particularity liked and they were very careful while transporting my belongings. The movers themselves were very good; they were pleasant and friendly. They were also considerate of other people living in my building around the elevator and hallways. The price that they quoted for the move was on the high side but I had moved with them before so I knew it would be worth it. I would highly recommend Glen Ellyn! more

The lady that I dealt with at Glen Ellyn Storage Corp was wonderful. Judy I think was her name. She made sure that she called me back and she was right every time she provided any information. She told me everything that I needed to know and I was very happy about that. And then when I called to schedule the delivery, she made sure that they delivered it when I needed and that they picked it up really fast. more

I hired them to move me from IL to TX . When my stuff arrived in TX it was wet and several pieces of my furinture were broken, scratched, statues were broken. I filed a claim since I had full protection plan on my move. It's been 2 months and the company is still dragging their feet in replacing my items. They can't out how to add or delete items for the move so they just keep hiking the price up. They're not worth your hard earned money or time. I could moved myself for cheaper and with less damage. If you are unhappy with the claim settlement, please know that your voice can still be heard. My moving experience with Glen Ellyn Storage was fabulous! From the beginning to the end, they were hands-on with the move. They made a very delicate, complicated move go like clockwork. They approached the move very strategically, they were professional and courteous, and they were on top of everything for every part of the move. The prices were comparable to another moving company that we got a bid from, but I felt like going with Glen Ellyn because they were so detail-oriented. I felt so much better with having the move in their hands. The movers were great- we had a lot of antiques in the move, and they were very careful. Nothing was broken and it arrived on time. Their representative, Michael Hughes, was the first person I met and we went over this complicated job. He was outstanding and I think everybody should use him. if you can get him, that's the best person to go with. Sue Norse was our coordinator and she stepped in once the consultation with Michael was completed. She was the one who set up all the different tasks of the move. Don't even think about using anybody else. It was highly impressive- and I have had another national move of a large nature in the past. Compared to that, the move with Glen Ellyn was just stellar! more
