Had been to Giovanni's several times in the past and it was really good. Took some friends who had never been last night and it was REALLY, REALLY good. Marinara and bread sticks were excellent. The salads that came with the dinner were Exellent. Almost meals in themselves. Full of Good stuff and very generous. We all had different meals and shared - well, shared some. One person got stingy...
Veal Marsala and Chicken Marsala were excellent. The other person ordered the Italian Sausage Dish (forgot the name) and I will be getting it next. I got the Chicken Marsala (after almost going with Diavolo) and it was fantastic. 2 split chicken breasts. I am a big guy and can eat a lot - but, brought one home that will be going in the oven on a piece of French Bread w/ some Balsamic and a slab of Provolone...
Bottom Line - great food, quaint, good value for the servings, nice atmosphere, GREAT wait staff. Full of information and knew the dishes well. Will be going back - as well as getting gift certificates for the Holidays.
Lastly, overheard some Italian people visiting from New York and they were very pleased - and, looked pretty darn full. Great hometown secret. Thanks for the good time.
