Disappointed- 3/24/2006

Our last visit was less than memorable and while the service was excellent the food was average. My feeling is that the down home preperation and personal touch to the sauces was to commerical and not enough of ""nonna's touch"". I was very surprised that for a thursday night there were only 3 tables with customers. And at one point we were the only one! While still a good resteraunt it has fallen from my favor list. some of the foods that I tried earlier weren't impressive but I have to admit that I was basing that on my taste for spicy food. Of which Italian food isn't. The bottomline is Giovanni's delivers and they are great. I love this restaurant and I'd recommend their daily specials and clams or escargot for appetizer. Giovanni's Restaurant houses unsurpassed Italian cuisine. Each dish is carefully prepared to perfection and teases your mouth with a back home Italian taste that you will remember long after you leave. Pros: great parking more

The food is simply delicious. It is almost like actually being in Italy. The wine the waiter recommended went perfectly with the dinner. Just awsome romantic atmosphere. Pros: Great tasting, Great location, Romantic Cons: expensive more

I usually get the split crablegs,prawnshrimp, and filet minon all sicilian style. Nothing else compares. The owner frequently visits the tables and truly cares that your experience is enjoyable. Pros: excellent food, great wait staff, valet parking Cons: pricier, only 1 location more
