We had the calzone and while tasty would have preferred less ricotta cheese. Our daughter had a slice of pizza and it was great! Next time we are in town I would go back and try the pizza. more

Simply put, this is the best place for real Italian food in Abq. Pizza is crispy, toppings are fresh, and the red sauce is fabulous. Pros: great food Cons: a little out of the way, depends on where you live more

Giovannis has the most STELLAR MARINARA -SO UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Beside my awsome spinach calzone!! Lasagne manicotti--- crazy TRUE ITALIAN!!!!! PIZZA----I can taste it now!! My REAL addiction!!! Great NY style Pizza 2/5/2006

I've tried just about every pizza place out there in Albuquerque, searching for good pizza like the East Coast has. I've tried Giovanni's twice and the second time was MUCH better than the first. It was exactly what I was looking for. Foldable slices, that's mmm cheesy goodness. more

Giovanni's Calzones 11/17/2004

After careful study, I find the calzones at Giovanni's to be the best tasting New York style calzones in the city. They don't overdue the crust, and the cheeses are abundant and spread over the entire creation. The oil used truely gives it a New York flavor, and the portion size makes it two meals on most occasions. Just fantastic!
