Giovanni's Italian Restaurant

My wife and I are regulars at Giovanni's restaurant. Honestly we eat there on average of 2 times per week. Currently, my little sister lives in Rome, Italy and I have family from Sicily. I DO NOT EAT BAD ITALIAN FOOD! This restaurant is excellent - It is the most relaxed, unrushed, pleasant dinning experience. Outside of his great dishes and very affordable prices - HIS DESERTS ARE ALL HOME MADE FROM SCRATCH! Whether its a Terra Misu, Cheese Cake (MY FAVORITE), Cannoli, or a Triffle you can not go wrong. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone; you will not be disappointed. I live right by Giovanni's and absolutley LOVE IT!! I am not one to brag but I feel so excited to have such a wonderful cozy authentic italian restaurant right by my house. I have tried just about everything and it is NO JOKE everything is delicious! My favorite is the lasagna. I have ordered lasagna in many places like Carrabas, Olive Garden, Maggianos and nothing campares to Giovanni's lasagna it is loaded with meat sauce and I don't know what else he does but it not the typical lasagna you order any where else. For any Italianos that would like to have home cooking and would appreciate authenticity of Italian food, I recommend , YOU will not be let down! Pros: NONE! more

not familiar with this side of town. on way home decided to get dinner. saw the name and italian food advertised. decided to stop in. warm greeting by all in the restaurant. the owner and cook giovani was most hospitable. had a great salad topped with shrimp(my cravin) and eggplant parmisan that was outstanding. really loved the sauce. topped it off with teramisu(even though im dieting) i couldnt resist it was really homemade. loved it all...going back that way again soon and will make giovani's my dinner spot.\r y'all need to stop in for a great meal. highly recommended. more

This unassuming little restaraunt hidden amongst the strip malls along the East-West Connector stands out in a big way. \r The personal attention of the owner starts the moment you walk in the door, and does not end until you leave with a very satisfied smile on your face. \r The food is delicious and authentic. We had the fettucini alfredo with broccoli and the eggplant parmessian (both vegetarian), and both were wonderful. \r Prices are below the norm - dinner for two with appetizer, bread, salad and deserts for $30.00\r Prepare yourself for real Italian, most joyful lunches, dinners and parties! Pros: Great food, service, personal attention, uncrowded (for now...!) Cons: Location - a bit out-of-the-way, but that can be a good thing more

This restaurant offers the best of italian food I ever tasted. I had the fetuccini alfredo with shrimp and it is exquisitely delicious. The garlic bread is so fresh and the Giovanni's home made dressing of balsamic vinegar base for the salad is really good. The cheesecake is incredible. I know I will keep on coming back. I stopped not knowing what to expect and walked out with one of the best ravioli dinners I have ever had. The service is very personal ,too! I'll have to get Giovanni to cater my party. more

Giovannis restaurant is the place to be. When you want to taste the real italian food, then you should go to Giovannis. Also the atmosphere is incredibly very nice and you can feet at home the way you are treated. This a special place to be, especially when you want to feel a good comfortable sense. The price of the food is just right and the portion is big enough that you will end up taking home some. Also the place is very clean and you can see all the staff wearing gloves. Also notice that the restaurant got 100 % in the inspection by the board of health. WOW Pros: Food taste and Service are excellent. more

Went for the first time this evening. Great food, good prices. Really enjoyed the chicken marsala and the salad with house dressing!! I certainly recommend this restaurant!! more
