I love Ginza Japanese! My Family and I have been going there ever sinse I was a kid. They seriously have the best sushi around! My favorite roll has to be the Angry Dragon. The Staff always tries to place the customers first 100%. The Chef's at the hibachi grill, or what some call teppanyaki, are soo funny and really get the crowd going! I would recomend Ginza for birthday parties or for a night out after work! more

Ginza Japanese Cuisine in Wethersfield 12/15/2010

Food is very good, excellent actually, but wait staff is OVER attentive, pests really making it hard to hold a conversation with table mates without interruptions every few minutes. We will be considering this kind of ""service"" if we think of returning. Sad to see this behavior replaced what was once our favorite Sapporo Restaurant. more

Awesome Japanese 9/13/2009

Ginza was just nominated as this weeks' place to go for ""bargin"" bites ((see link for article) bit.ly/URjz6) A great restaurant where your always welcomed at the door by the most friendly hosts and mangers in the business; Ginza is a great place to grab some quick, delicious sushi, take a date for a five course feast replete with wine, sake and after-dinner drinks, or for a casual night out with the family at the hibachi tables... Pros: Great Sushi and Fun Fun Fun more

ginza is over rated 9/10/2009

i don't think anybody knows about the REAL GINZA goal, it's not customer service, nor good food but only trying to jack your check way up, i know this for a FACT!! the servers are told to try to pad the checks and always trying to sell your specials that they had for months ( so called specials atleast ) the servers are always told BIGGER checks BIGGER TIPS and bigger profits for the restaurant, all they care about is how much money they can make and also the cleaniness of the kitchen and how they handle the food will also make you sceeve. I promise you that.the owners and manager are all fakes, they only have one goal and that is to drive your check sky high, if you don't believe me, go see for yourself Pros: nothing Cons: they all try to jack your check up more

$$$ 7/25/2009

Good food but It does cost a pretty penny. I got the feeling the manager was trying to sell us something we didn't need. He came to our table to welcome us. During the conversation we could all tell he was lying through his teeth. Pros: location Cons: price managers more

Hands Down Best Sushi EVER! 11/15/2007

Ginza is my absolute favorite place for Sushi. The prices are very reasonable, the service is always wonderful and the food is always so tasty! I would recommend the Angry Dragon roll, the philadelphia roll, the chicken and vegetable tempura and the miso soup! Also, if are with a large group, the hibachi show is very cool too! Ginza is the best! Pros: Angry Dragon Roll. Plenty of Parking. Cons: None! more

Thought I was back in NYC 4/13/2007

I grew up and lived in NYC. Moving here, I had a hard time finding a good sushi place...that is until Ginza! The sushi was great and the staff, wonderful! Definitely going back there again! more

Good sushi - that's what it comes down to 12/1/2006

I recommend the 'angry dragon'. \r We went on a friday evening and it took about 20 minutes to get a table. Except for the wait, I was pleased with Ginza. Great sushi, and good service more

learn to make a martini.... 12/7/2005

what is it with the Japanesse places around here? you order a martini, and they look at you like you've just insulted them! look, if you are reading this, a martini, has three olives in it, not 5, not 1, they do not come on the side, unless asked for that way... 3 little words should not be that hard to get, up, dry, olives, that is all... the hibachi is real good, and the sushi is nice, this manhattan transfer is content with it. more

Best sushi restaurant in CT!!!! 11/7/2005

The sushi is phenominal at this restaurant, best I've eaten. Try the angel roll it's my favorite. The service is great too!! For quality though be prepared to have a bill this restaurant isn't a hamburger stand. Anyone that has eaten good sushi knows it comes with a cost. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm. The consistency is what is really remarkable about this place though!! Tell them Mrs. Katz sent you!! Pros: manager, service, quality Cons: location , parking, busy more

What's Up? Prices, for one... 6/18/2005

When this cute restaurant opened, they were committed to quality and service. A good meal could be had at a good price. These days they're commanding NYC prices for sushi that'd close down a Japanese joint in the Big Apple. I don't expect NYC-quality sushi up here; nor do I expect fish so old and watery it must have been frozen (not delivered fresh). Even the sushi rice needs more seasoning. Finally, nowadays, if your server doesn't understand you (80% of the time) they just run and hide... sometimes never to be seen again. We're not going back. Pros: Manager Cons: Service, Fish more

used to be good...now they nickel and dime 6/16/2005

Ginza used to be good, and reasonable and fun. Now the prices are higher, and everything is a surcharge. $2 extra for noodles, $1 for small ice cream. Overall a sad decline into profit focus. Short sited. I won't go back as it is now. Pros: good food Cons: expensive, try to pad bill more

Bigtime Ginza Supporter Feels Slighted 5/31/2005

I have been a huge Ginza fan for years but lately the prices have risen and the quality has not. The management is too busy trying to make a profit to realize that the fanbase is dwindling. The manager is too much of a salesman not enough of a businessman. Food is decent at best but location is good and there are not a lot of other choices in the area. Coming from a major city where Asian restaurants dominate the streets, Ginza's hook is the Hibachi tables, which only one other local restaurant has. Pros: service, parking Cons: overpriced, manager more

Average Sushi 8/1/2004

Coming from Atlanta, with Soto and Edo experience, this place was ok. The waitress didn't have a clue when we ordered in Japanese and still didn't understand us when we spoke english. The specialty roll was ok. not worth the $12 we paid. But if you are new to CT (like we are) and are having sushi withdrawls, this is a safe place to eat. Expensive but safe. The manager was wonderful. All in all, the sushi was ok, the eel was somewhat warm, but none of it mouth water, which at these prices, it should be. Pros: Manager, Parking avaible, No Wait Cons: , Too expensive more
