Gingerbread

I cannot say enough great things about Gingerbread Littleversity. I have two kids (5 year old boy, and a 3 year old little girl) and they both love the center. My son is in the before/after school program and the staff at Gingerbread are always ontop of when the schools are closed, getting out early etc. I feel extremely safe and confident when the van drops my son off in the morning at school that he is going to be safe. My daughet can't stop talking about all of the ""best friends"" that she has made. I am so impressed that my 3 year old has learned to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and is able to count by 2's, 3's and 5's! Ms. Linda does a great job of keeping the parents in-the-loop of upcoming events going on at the center. I truely believe that the staff takes the time to get to know each child on a one-on-one basis. I couldn't be happier with my husband and I'd decision to send our kids to Gingerbread Littleversity!! more

We have been sending both of our boys (2.5 years old & 15 mo. old) to Gingerbread since they were about 4 months old. The staff is second to none! Every morning we are not only welcomed to the building by their current teacher, other teachers that we pass by greet our boys by name. The teachers we have worked with have really taken the time to get to know our sons as individuals and communicate to us important information on a consistant basis. The center offers a rich curriculum and I have no doubt that my sons will be more than ready for Kindergarten when the time comes. more

Our son loves Gingerbread teachers and can't stop talking about all his ""best friends"" that he made at school. He surprises us all the time with all kinds of new skills he has learned at preschool. He keeps asking if tomorrow is a school day because he misses everybody. My husband and I would highly recommend Gingerbread to all of our family members and friends. Thank you Gingerbread for providing such loving atmosphere to our child! more

My son has been at Gingebread for over 2 years now and we couldnt be happier with the attention he has gotten there. He is learning new things daily. He comes home singing new songs daily at age 3 and knows his ABC's very well. The director, Linda is the first to keep us informed of new events happening at school. As a person who used to work in daycare I was very picky in selecting a center and Gingerbread has gone above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend this center to anyone! I would recommend this center to any parent looking for more than just a daycare center for their child. more

This ""uptown"" location for Gingerbread Littleversity was recommended to us by word-of-mouth and now we know why. We enrolled our son when he turned 3 and could not be happier (and neither could he). This isn't daycare...this is a mixture between pre-school where they teach kids a whole host of awesome things that prepare them for kindergarten...AND it's LIFE-school where they partner with mom's and dad's to teach/encourage/build ""life"" skills into the kids. Of course I'm excited that my 3-yr old son has learned to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and is counting in Spanish, etc. but I'm most excited that he's building a character to be proud of...building a circle of friends to play with...and making great memories that will follow him all of his days. Gingerbread's hallway is both cheerful and visually stimulating for our children. Each class has a posted lesson plan, as well as, a question of the week with the answers of each child (quite amusing). My son was the first to give the name of our President ""Rock Obama""=). The outdoor playground is awesome, my boys love it and the indoor playroom has a boys and a girls club house to climb into and lots of costumes for pretend play. My 3 children have been in several preschools over the years and GBLV is definitely the most impressive. The teachers who open early in the morning are always so helpful with drop off. The art work in the hall ways always changes so I know that my children are doing things during the day, not just sitting and being watched. When my kindergartener started school at Willow Springs her teacher was impressed with how much she already knew. When I leave for work I know that they are in safe hands and are having fun while learning. Awesome center! Pros: convenient location and friendly staff more
