I have three kids ranging from 2 to 7 years old. I have been using Gimmie A Break for the last two years and all my kids jumps in joy every time I told them they are going to GAB...

Worst

The reviews are almost 50/50 and I think it is because the parents that have not found out the truth about this place gives them a good review. This Daycare does the very minimum ...

This daycare doesn't follow state mandate and if they say they do, they are wrong. They are supposed to keep kids safe. The turnover is too high and kids are getting hurt. When a child does get hurt, they don't contact the parents. There are aggressive children at this daycare and no discipline what so ever. I am so happy my grandson and nephew doesn't go here anymore. If you do have a child here, and you have an issue please, contact cps. Thanks more

From the kind, compassionate teachers and staff to the modern, well maintained facility, Gimmie A Break far exceeds my expectations when it comes to providing child care for my two daughters. My children are always excited to attend Gimmie A Break and are learning so much. My favorite thing about Gimmie A Break is that my children receive personalized care and I too have close relationships with their teachers and staff as well. It makes a difference when teachers and staff truly care about your children. The extended hours are a huge plus for parents like me who work unique hours or commute. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality child care in the area! Gimmie A Break is fabulous! more

I have three kids ranging from 2 to 7 years old. I have been using Gimmie A Break for the last two years and all my kids jumps in joy every time I told them they are going to GAB. My 2 years old enjoyed the two caretakers in the infant room when he was there. They still come over to hug him every time I drop him off. I drop my kids off during weed days and weeknights and I have absolutely no trouble leaving my kids there. I love the fact that they have late hours of operation for those date nights. GAB has been a life saver on many occasions. I highly recommend the facility. As for the gold fish,.....my kids loves them.......I give them gold fish for snacks too. more

Not a safe place 12/12/2011

The reviews are almost 50/50 and I think it is because the parents that have not found out the truth about this place gives them a good review. This Daycare does the very minimum and at times lower at that is when bad things happen. The owner Mrs. Ingram does not pay attention to what her workers do and doesn't even care. If you want your kis to eat peanut butter and jelly and gold fish everyday than take them here. If you want them to drink sugar filled lemonade and NO MILK take them here. more

WORSE DAYCARE EVER 12/12/2011

Please listen to me and DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! The daycare violates almost ever law and regulation there is. I worked for one week and told the owner Jackie Ingram I could not work anymore with all these violations. Babies being put with older kids and in unsafe areas. Employees working before their criminal back ground checks are done and before they have completed the required certifications. Just a all around bad place. more

Great place, Great hours! 11/7/2010

We have used this daycare/nightcare since 2004 with my daughter. She is now almost 8 and loves to go there. The teachers are wonderful with the children and they always offer fun activities for the kids. more

Teachers provide great childcare! 10/30/2010

As a former employee at Gimmie a Break, I can vouch for how hard all of the employees work to provide the best programs and care for the kids. I started working at GAB in 2008 and have since returned from college to work during summer and holiday breaks over the years. I kept returning to GAB because I really enjoyed not only the children but the employees and the positive environment they created for the children. They all bring to the table a lot of experience in childcare and genuinely enjoy spending time with the kids. The director/owner also treated all the employees with respect and came up with the most creative and popular programs for the kids! She is also very strict about making sure all employees exceed the minimum standards for State licensing. If I had kids, I would have no problem trusting Gimmie a Break with them! more

My 15 month old loves it! 9/29/2010

We began using Gimmie A Break when our daughter was quite young on an occasional basis. The care-givers really seem to enjoy having our daughter. They were a god-send when my husband had to have unexpected surgery since we have no family in town! When I went back to work full time, we decided to use them for our day care needs. My currently 15 month old LOVES going. We ""blow kisses"" when I leave and wave bye-bye. She does this on the weekends and points to the door. She gets quite upset when we do not take her there! I think this is the best endorsement I could leave: my daughter gets a huge smile on her face when she sees that we are there and is upset on the days she doesn't ""get"" to go! more

Gimme a break review 9/24/2010

My son was going to Gimmeabreak for more than 6 months, and we both like this place a lot. This year he had to start pre-K and that is the only reason that I took him out of this daycare, Still he will go there when school is closed, Very nice and clean place, kids eat in the kitchen which is separate from classes and play place, they have a superviosr that makes them to wash or wipe their hands before eating, it has separate bathrooms for boys and girls, all teacher are very nice , expereienced and friendly and the director is very professional and nice too.They charge hourly , so if you are late they will not charge you 1 dollar per minute like other daycares and they open until late at night, During summer they had a lot of fun programs like water paly, piano lessons, strtch and grew and dance.I highly recommend this place. more

My kids love this place. We drop them off at least once a week. They have a great time and they like the teachers. I don' thave many complaints and if I do they are addressed immediately. We will go back! more

Best in Childcare 1/15/2010

I love this place my child loves it. Everyone talks about how much they love my daughter! They keep track of everything she eats, diaper changes, and etc...This daycare is clean and respectable. I couldn't dream of a better daycare. Pros: Great Hours and Friendly Staff Cons: Nothing really more

Extremely workable and wonderful workers!! 11/22/2009

My daughter who is now 3 yrs old has been going to Gimme-A-Break since she was an infant. We have never had a problem with any of the workers and they are always very welcoming when I drop her off. She especially loves ""Miss Stacie"" who works in the Big Room with the older kids. Pros: Best Hours and Very Clean more

Not A Friendly Childcare Center 10/28/2009

I truly think the childcare is lacking in caring for the children. It's more about policy and how much money they make off of the hard working parents. I would not give one star. Looks like i have to give them one star or I can't publish this. My child of 2 yrs at the time never liked being dropped off he cried every time. No one would comfort him or make him feel welcomed. And as a parent I never felt welcome. Always cold and uncaring. I would not ever bring my child back or let them care for my infant. I am not a happy parent. Pros: Nothing Good Cons: Not willing to help more

dangerous place for infants 8/17/2009

it was terrible!! my 5 mo. old daughter was significantly scratched on the face right below the eye while on a swing because an older girl 18 mo was ""tickling"" her. I cant imagine that my daughter was not protected as this had already happened to someone else. Needless to say that their documentation leaves many questions to ask. According to the infant report my daughter was no fed from 11:50 till 5:30!! When I asked the ""adult"" in the room she said she had fed her but could not remember when or how much. Plus my daughters bottles with breastmilk had been left outside of the refrigerator. Its not worth the pain both for the parent and the baby Pros: convenience Cons: not safe, poorly managed more
