Gil's pizza is the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. I grew up eating Gil's pizza and still make the drive to the old neighborhood (my kids even love Gil's pizza). I've yet to find another pizza that is even close to the taste of Gil's pizza. Well worth the drive for a little slice of heaven! more

The best NY style pizza around 8/2/2005

If you love Pizza (REAL PIZZA) not the commercial grade Domino's crap that is mostly sold in the DC/Baltimore area then the place to go is Gil's pizza. It's a tiny shop right off Belair Road in Baltimore. You will want to get carry out b/c there is no place to sit and eat it. The pizza is made right in front of you, the dough thrown in the air and all. It's not like the employees are trying to put on a show for you that's just the way they do it. You would never know it from the outside but this little shop is the perfect place for your average, no-nonsense, NY style pizza. more
