College Memories... 5/15/2003

College Memories, Ahh Gilles Frozen custard is such a place. It is almost as good as Adrian's in my hometown. On warm fall spring, and summer nights we used to pile into cars and drive over to Gilles for frozen custard and burgers when he food at Marian College wasn't what we craved. My personal favorite is the Dusty Road Sundae and a double cheese burger. In my humble opinion only Adrian's and Leon's are better. Pros: Inexpensive, Filling portions, Great Atmosphere Cons: Not open in winter more

Memories........... 10/30/2002

What's the ""Fond du Lac"" thing?? Gilley's is the best: hamburgers, malts, sundaes and ambience. It is a throwback to the 50s and 60s, and it cannot be beat. The service is your own, and the value attached to the memories of the 50s and 60s that we cherish. It is a one-of-a-kind! My grandchildren enjoy it as much as I do (and Gilles' was the backbone of my teenage social life!) Pros: ambiance, hamburgers, malts/shakes Cons: do-it-yourself servic, winters, parking a premium more
