The Gilchrist Inn is a unique retro condominium style motel comprised of six residences situated beneath tall pines in the small historic timber town of Gilchrist.
It was built in the late 40s to support the log mill by the timber mogul himself, Frank Gilchrist. They were thoughtfully designed to be quiet and toasty warm with privacy, lots of storage, and even have a small garage.
We are only one block from the first covered mall in the West, which boasts a restaurant and lounge that serves up great food and a whole lot of fun. There are additional novelty shops, a quilt shop, public library, video store, a bank, service station and a grocery store with deli.. Ask about a hunting party or fishing expeditions,or perhaps snowmobile trail maps, hiking, and golf trips to Sun River and quail run.

Clubs and Organizations
The Inn is a great place for different club travelers to stay and meet up while traveling on this scenic Hwy through this wonderful recreational area.
This quaint town has become a great vacation home and early retirement destination,as it lies in the heart of all central Oregon recreation. It is particularly attractive to sports people who enjoy snow sports, great hunting and fishing, and all of the other high mountain lake and river sports. Willamette Ski Pass is a short distance away and is one of the few places in the state that offers night skiing; but Gilchrist is probably more popular with snowmobiles,as you don't have to drive anywhere in the winter to access over 600 miles of groomed and marked snowmobile trails! Other activities available for the outdoor enthusiast are hiking, riding, fishing, hunting, skiing and dog sled racing.
