Dr. Marilyn Gilbreath graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1982. Upon graduation, she completed a one year residency program in rehabilitative optometry at the Veteran?s Administration Outpatient Clinic, Los Angeles. Dr. Gilbreath was Chief of Optometry at the VA in Los Angeles for 2 years.
Dr. Gilbreath also served as Chief of the Low Vision Clinic at the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Gilbreath remains highly involved with the American Academy of Optometry, an international group of optometrists dedicated to providing advanced care to patients. She is one of 55 diplomats in the world who has advanced to diplomat status in the Low Vision section of the Academy.
Dr. David Park graduated from the Illinois college of optometry in 1977. Dr. Park also was an instructor at Ferris State University, College of Optometry. Dr. Park Moved to Southern California to assume the position of Clinic Director, Baldwin Park Optometry Center, an outreach teaching center of the Southern California College of Optometry.
Dr. Miguel Delgado is a 2010 graduate of Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Delgado specilized in Family Vision Care, Dry eye evaluation and treatment and Glaucoma diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Delgado is fluent in spanish and english.
. Dr. Gilbreath provides low vision examinations to patients with visual impairments caused by eye diseases such as macular degeneration,cataracts,retinal detachments and glaucoma. Low vision devices are prescribed to help patients use residual vision. Low vision devices include such things as hand and stand magnifiers,telescopes,closed circuit televisions and glare filters.
Contact lens examinations consist of proper fitting,training and follow-up care for the newest designs of contact lenses. High oxygen lenses are fit to provide maximum vision and comfort. Drs. Delgao and Park specialize in fitting specialty contact lens in patients who have irregular astigmatism or keratoconus.
Dr. Miguel Delgado specializes in family vision care,complex contact lens fittings and eye health problems such as dry eyes and glaucoma. Dr. Degado utilizes advanced diagnostic equipment including the Spectral Domain OCT for advanced health assessments.
Laser vision evaluation,treatment and comanagement is provided to patients by Gilbreath,Park & Delgado Optometry through their affiliation with Pacific Laser Eye Center. Drs. Gilbreath,Park & Delgado work closely with ophthalmic surgeons,Drs. Gary Barth and Daniel Rich,in providing the most current care in laser refractive procedures.
