We were driving through Boone and found this gem on a Saturday afternoon. We stopped in about 4:30 (before the dinner crowd had arrived) and had sandwiches & drinks.
The lunch menu had a decent selection of sandwiches, salads, etc. for a reasonable price in my mind. Of course, there will be those who say $6.50 is too much for a burger, but this is a real restaurant folks.
I had the Californian... a grilled turkey sandwich with pesto, roasted red peppers, artichokes & provolone on grilled wheat. It was great. My daughter had chicken strips and my wife had tenderloin that was excellent.
The service was a bit slow - even on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30. We waited quite awhile for a refill on drinks. The parking lot needs some work. I imagine that will come in the future.
Overall though, we were pleased with the food and that's the main reason we stopped by. We'll be back and hope they keep improving what looks like a good place.
Pros: Great menu, delicious food
Cons: Parking, service can be slow
