We recently purchased a used Class C motorhome from Gib's. They said everything was checked out. Well, what we found out is they may check out the RV portion and make sure that works, but they don't check out the mechanics of the vehicle - the engine, etc. They do not do any of that service themselves. A week after purchase we took the rig to have the oil changed and were told the water pump leaked and the ball joints needed to be replaced. We went back to Gib's and told them about this. They sent us to their own mechanic to have it checked out. He agreed but they only paid for half of the repairs. I suppose that is better than nothing since we signed the paperwork accepting it "as is" but in our opinion it never should have been up for sale needing that kind of work. We also found out, after the fact, that we paid way more than the book value of the vehicle.
