Nice Art Museum 4/14/2006

The Gibbes Museum of Art is a very nice, small museum. I expected it to have a lot more considering it is located in a city that attracts a great amount of tourists. The paintings and such were very nice and pleasant, but there was just not anything that really amazed me. It was a nice walk through museum for tourists, but I found that I was more entertained walking through the galleries downtown. Maybe it's more of a hit for tourists. more

Wonderful museum, lots of activities 9/11/2005

Gibbes Museum of Art is a great museum with tons of exhibits. They have special family days where you can go in and do things for a very low cost. They have lots of special activities, too throughout the year. It's a great place to tour in a half day when you are in the historic part of Charleston and always fun for the kids. I highly recommend them! more
