I have shopped at this store several times and have encountered numerous incidents when check out is time consuming.The self check out frequently malfunctions and it takes a long time for anyone to come to assist.Many times I have had to wait while clerks have called for someone , as it appears that only certain people can reset the scanner.After scanning all items,there is often a delay in the credit card acceptance before receiving a receipt. It got better! 10/3/2005

I know last year (2004) that this Giant Eagle wasn't the greatest, their meats and produce seemed rotten, and it was overall not a good place to shop. Within the past year though, they've really changed the place. They installed new cooling units, the produce and meats seem fresher. The place is great now! Although they don't have a very large organic products section as most other Giant Eagles do, they still have a pretty good selection of most other products. more
