Not worth wasting the money! 7/5/2011

We have taken several ghost tours in the past two years and this tour was by far the worse tour yet. The guide was friendly and tried to be entertaining but this tour came off as cheesy and a waste of time and money. We found out after the tour was over that per Savannah law, the ""riding"" tours are not allowed to stop or impede traffic so they slow down as the guide tells the story and possibly circle the area again. That is fine but would have been nice to know before we got underway that unless you have a motion camera you cannot get very good pics because they do not stop at most places. The ""highlight"" of the tour is supposed to be stopping and going inside Perkins and Sons Chandlery. This is an old building on River Street where you go inside and it is too dark to see or take pics and a ""ghost"" chandler shows up and tells you stories while storm noise and fans and beating and banging goes on around you aka ghosts. This was really cheesy and it is obviously staged and not at all the least bit haunted except by the living. They said there is no a/c in there....riiiiiighhht!! You could even see a fan blowing in the background at times. It was around $70 for three of us and was a complete waste of time and money. The walking tours are better for pictures while riding tours are more for comfort and just to hear a story. A pro for this trip is according to their website they offer 100% money back guarantee no questions asked refund. When you buy your tickets they give you postcards and I was told to fill it out and mail them in (for each ticket bought) and in 6-10 weeks they will send a refund check out. I have gotten mine filled out and will be sending it in as soon as I get home! more

A great ghost tour! 5/19/2008

This is my third trip to Savannah. My best friend and I took this tour two years ago, and I thought that it was better then. We actually got to tour the Colonial Park Cemetary at night. But this year we only got to look at it through the gates. When I asked, I was told that people were ""doing voodoo"" in the cemetary and the city didn't allow even the tour companies access at night anymore. The trip is very entertaining and you learn alot about the ""haunted"" Savannah. The ""spirit guide"" is very amusing and tells his stories well. And they are not adverse to a little ribbing along the way. My best friend doesn't believe in ghosts, but she doesn't NOT believe either and she enjoyed the tour very much. We highly recommend this tour. more
