The Ghirardelli Chocolate shop in Walnut Creek closed months ago. It's too bad; it would be nice if it was still here. What if you want ice cream (and not frozen yogurt) in Walnut Creek? The San Francisco Creamery at 1370 Locust Street has great ice cream, sundaes, milk shakes, etc. and is also a full-service restaurant. Pros: None, because it closed Cons: CLOSED more

Very good ice cream desserts 3/21/2005

The desserts here are huge and wonderful. Everything is good, from the sundaes to their special brownie desserts. Lines get long on the weekend, but you can still find tables if you wait a little. more
