The contract we signed was NOT ITEMIZED BY COST, and the total cost, in view of the actual number of hours of work done, was outrageous. Hal Davis, the salesman, grossly inflated the number of workers, the number of hours, and the equipment required to repair our roof, then, after we had signed, failed to return our phone calls and took 3 weeks to even deliver a copy of the work plan, as promised. Production Manager Bob Scribner behaved in a thuggish and unprofessional manner during every phone call subsequent to our signing, calling us at 8 a.m. the day after the last workman left, to demand immediate payment (like a loan shark dealing with a delinquent client) and then breaking his promise to wait 5 days before charging our account. The work seems satisfactory, but Sprague's dealings with customers are so disturbing as to outweigh whatever good work they may do, and their charges are fraudulent. Jerry Sprague, president of the company, whom we wrote to, failed to address our complaints, and by his indifference left the distinct impression that all of the above is standard company practice. Don't believe a word of this company's hype.
