I took my Nissan Altima 2003 with idle problems to Gerry's Auto Repair because it has good reviews, they say they're experts. Paid $65 for a diagnosis that I didnt even get on paper, plus $85 to reprogram the throttle body that was barely new, I told them I'm sure it did not need reprogramming since I had recently bought it and they insisted telling me they are the ""experts"". While waiting for my car to be ""fixed"", there was an irate lady with two girls bringing her car back because it broke down two miles after just picking it up from this shop, she told me I should think twice before letting them touch my car, they'll fix something and if that's not what was needed they'll tell you they did the right thing but the car had multiple problems and keep charging you. I should've listened. The lady was upset and being rude, because her girls were with her when her car broke down when it was supposed to be fixed, and they were being rude back instead of understanding, thank God they're ""christian"". After they said my car was ""fixed"" it worked for a day, I took it back and told them I knew it didn't need reprogramming, and I need a diagnosis on paper, which they provided, with basically the same codes that Advance gave me with their little computer for FREE. I wanted to fix whatever needed to be fixed with them but if they accepted to deduct the unecessary reprogramming charge from the bill, I would've even let them keep the $65 for the diagnosis that basically said, if it's not this, is this, or this or this, but of course they say they're experts, never wrong!! I said I felt I was being overcharged, and just gave them $150 for nothing, they rudely replied, well if you think that way, thank you, goodbye and hung up. They will guess, then keep charging you!!!!
