This place is a real gem in my little town of Holiday! If you enjoy authentic hearty German food, you need to visit The German Restaurant. From the warm greeting of the hostess to the outstanding entrees and desserts, you'll feel so very welcome. The German beers in steins and wonderful wine selection will compliment your meal. We try to visit at least every 2-3 months and usually both us get the schnitzel. They have several platter selections along with a varied entree list. Last time, I also tried their bisque (served in a very neat lighthouse shaped bowl, kept warm with a tiny candle in the base) and black forest cake. The place is quite nice inside, all done in blue and white. The service is excellent... you'll never feel rushed yet your waitress will ensure that you have everything you need.
