An honest mechanic seems awfully hard to come by. My friend told me about this place and it is definitely worth it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs some work done. more

I bought an Audi from German Auto Works about a year ago and I was pleasantly surprised about how the sales team was so happy to answer all my questions and concerns. They were always happy, which made the whole car buying process easier. They were very accommodating with my financing situation. I would definitely recommend them. more

I Wouldn't Take My Car Anywhere Else! 7/25/2011

German Auto Works has done wonderful work for me over the past several years. I have also spoken with several other customers during the years and everyone I have talked to has been pleased with their service. They are professional, prompt, and give you pricing ahead of time. Steve and Hunter run a remarkable shop and employs high caliber mechanics. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else! more

Great guys, great service, true professionals 7/25/2011

If you have a German car, and you don't like throwing away a lot of money, then you need to take your car here. German Auto Works rules. I have used them for almost 10 years, and both service and price have made me very happy. One time a few years ago, the guys at the dealership were telling me I might have to spend over $2,000 to replace a ring gear (without even looking at my engine). Spent $135 to tow it to German Auto, realized it was the starter, cost me less than $500. Great guys, great service, true professionals, and trustworthy in an industry where that is incredibly rare. more

I went to this place because my check engine light came on. I went in without an appointment and they hooked it up to their computer and diagnosed the problem in ten minutes. They determined it wasn't serious and gave me my repair options. I didn't decide to schedule it then but when they told me it was no charge for the time they spent I couldn't believe it. Everybody wants an auto repair guy they can trust and I'm going back. I'm tired of going to the dealer for an oil change and having them recommend $1,500 worth of servicing. Now that summer is here I'll be in soon. Thanks again. more

German Auto Works is a clean, well run, competent shop. I don't really know how much you can say about an auto repair shop other than they get it right. They are a very honest and straight forward group, the shop is spotless, and their customer service skills are better than most mechanics. more

They Keep My Car Running Great 7/18/2011

Ever since I stumbled onto this place a couple of years ago, I've been bringing my GTI here. They've been able to keep my car running great, and they can get it back to me quickly. Another plus is the employees... they're all knowledgeable and will put up with all of my questions. more

I have been going here for 5+ years now. They have been reliable and honest. Labor rates are lower than the dealer. They do good work, call with estimates and a detailed list of what needs to be done and why and what can wait. By the way, contrary to their counterparts, they take great care to explain the work they will do and answer all your questions thoroughly. more

Since I moved to the St. Louis Park area, I've had all the work on my car done here. The guys at German Auto don't talk down to you. They are honest about what they can and can't do, and don't gouge on parts or labor. more
