Gerald's Tires

This was my favourite place to go for tire/brakes when I lived in Charleston. It is a local institution and truly defines “local business.” Gerald’s has been around forever, they’re well known and are very interested in their reputation, which (as far as I know) is quite stellar. They treat customers well, are very well priced, and don’t jerk you around to get more money out of you. They leave a rose in your car, always have a smile on their face, and are willing to go the extra mile for customer service. When living in Charleston, there was no better place for tire and brake work than Gerald’s Tires. Many locations throughout Charleston and surrounding areas. The one at 1 Magnolia Road is, I think, the flagship store, but at any rate the one I’ve always gone to for service. more

So say the guys at Geralds in the commercial that is older than most Charleston neighborhoods. You know, it's really really rare when you can go to a place that sells tires, and not only get what you paid for, but get MORE than you paid for. I wish that Gerald's did automotive work as well because they would be the mechanics that I would go to. Never in my LIFE have I, a woman, been treated so kindly and non-condescendingly by auto people as I've been treated at Geralds. They dont' rip you off, or tell you you need new tires when you don't. They mount them for free and I've even had them patch tires for free for me. Outstanding work. Wished I still lived in Charleston so I could get such superb tire service. Just look for the bright orange building--doesn't matter if you go to Mt. Pleasant, West Ashely, or N.Charleston--the service is the same and you'll be so sorry you went your entire life without being treated so kindly. more
