Geppetto's Catering

Fabulous food, and superb service, as always! Geppetto?s catered our rehearsal dinner 15 years ago, so we just used them, again, for our anniversary party. (If we hadn?t lived out of state for the past 13 years, we would have hired them more often through the years.) Michael is an amazing chef and he goes above and beyond to work with not only the people he is providing catering for, but also in his presentation, and how he interacts with the guests. For a party of about 30 people, he took the time to answer all questions, and to even discuss cooking and recipes! We attend a lot of formal functions, and we have to say that Geppetto?s food and delivery was amazing! Pros: Great presentation, interaction with guests, and most of all, amazing food! more

Geppetto's catered two of my wedding events. The wedding which was more formal and required a full service staff for a sit down dinner was a complete disaster. A staff not trained for table service and poorly prepared, executed and presented foods made our wedding dinner a pretty miserable experience for me and my husband and required our floral designer and event coordinators' staff to pour wine, clear tables and generally keep the dinner from completely falling apart. Michael, is a capable cook but I would only recommend using his services for very informal catering and take-out. Ultimately, he talks big (and a lot), but we would never use his services again. Being a former restaurant owner myself, I really wanted to use a small business that provided unique fare, but I chose poorly and should have used a much more established chef and restaurant capable of handling my event. My advice? Ask for references and a portfolio of previous events, both of which he could not provide me.
