Georgetown used to be one of the best stores on the Northside, but not now. The other review summarizes our experience too. We had them design and furnish our previous home ten years ago. Spent a sizable sum and loved their work. We returned this year as we downsized to a retirement home. Our original designer had retired, so Tami did the design and proposal. So far so good. The beautiful sofa delivered just wasn't comfortable, so Tami immediately offered to order a replacement with a more shallow depth of the seat cushions. That was in late June. Over the ensuing months, the replacement sofa has never arrived. We have had every excuse, from the factory is on vacation, the fabric is out of stock, the sofas is on the line being made, and last week, it is on the truck and will be delivered this week. The truck arrived and no sofa. Along the way we asked to cancel, and they offered a refund, but we felt bad and waited. We kept asking them to pickup the original, incorrect sofa. Tami quit the business due to supposed health issues, and her mother Ellen stepped in. She is an angry person mad at customers. Tami bid the job with delivery charges waived, but Ellen keeps saying we didn't pay for delivery so we sould be happy. The inventory in the store keeps going down, and we think they are getting ready to close down - and Ellen is trying to buy time until they are gone. Today we went to their shop, cancelled the order and asked for a refund. Ellen refused until next week. She said she isn't going to get stuck with two sofas. So we called AMEX and opened an investigation for a credit. All we want is our sofa, but after 6 months we are tired of broken promises. So stay away. There are many stores with good design services and less drama. Stay away from Ellen. She is a rude, angry woman who attacks customers instead of telling the truth.
